En Cuteable / On Cuteable

+ I just got posted at Cuteable, a great site about, you guessed it, all about cuteness!!! Love getting feedback around the globe. This an extract of what Sion, wrote: "One of the pleasures of blogging is getting to meet people from around the world; Lisette Moraga is no exception as she hails from Caracas, Venezuela and contacted me recently about her LaLá handbags and plushes. A fashion designer with a degree in literature, Lisette has a vibrant, distinctive style that has a distinct South American flavor. I love her use of colors such as hot pinks, yellows and greens, as well as polkadots, hearts and bright floral patterns." For more, check it at http://cuteable.com/lala-co/404, sharing what´s cute around the globe.

Nueva Colección / New Colection

-------------------------------------------------
+My new collection is ready Eu Quero, which means in portuguese I want.... inspired by all yummy venezuelan cravings. For example, the handbag seen on top says: Bien me sabe, which refers to a native dessert called bienmesabe which translates: tastes good to me! ... and all I can say it pays honor to it´s name, soooo good!

En el Museo Cruz Diez / At the Museum

Están todos invitados a conocer esta exposición!!!
-------------------------------------
+ Long time has gone by since my last visit to my blog, I´m running fast preparing my new collection...and also another issues such as this purse prepared for the exposition at the Museum of Design Carlos Cruz Diez: Galactic Catwoman, as the notorious villain, object of desire and Batman's punishment , this bag was inspired by her outfit. The original silver synthetic leather of the bag was coated by ropes - like a ball of yarn, favorite cat's toy-, leather inserts, imitating alligator's skin, and two ropes that evokes a cat´s tail.

------------------------------------------
+One of my current obssesions is cuteness. I investigated a bit and found out that I´m not so nuts as I thought. I´m o.k. being in touch with my inner child, furthermore, in my school I was taught to treasure this aspect, but for my great surprise there is a country in love with cuteness. This is what I found out at Wikipedia: “Since 1979, cuteness (可愛さ, kawaisa?) has become a prominent aspect of Japanese Culture in entertainment, clothing, food, toys, personal appearance, behavior, and mannerisms. Western observers often find this cuteness intriguing and sometimes strange because the Japanese employ it in a vast array of situations and demographics where, in Western culture, it would be considered incongruously juvenile or frivolous (for example, in government publications, public service warnings, office environments, military advertisements, and commercial airliners, among many others). Cute elements can be found almost everywhere in Japan, from big business to corner markets, national government to ward and town offices.[1][2] Many companies, large and small, use cute mascots to present their wares and services to the public. For example: Pikachu, a character from Pokémon, adorns the side of three All Nippon Airways passenger jets, Asahi Bank used Miffy, a character from a Dutch series of children's picture books, on some of its ATM cards, Monkichi, a cute monkey character, can be found on the packaging for one line of condoms[3], All 47 prefectures have cute mascot characters, The Japan Post "Yū-Pack" mascot is a stylized mailbox.[4], The Japan Post also uses other cute mascot characters, for example on stamps, Each police force in Japan have their own moe mascots, many of which adorn the front of koban (police boxes).”

Sevilla a go go Collection

+My first collection Sevilla a go go was so fun to do: my inspiración were the flamenco dancers, and my retro funiture or tableware! Also I was inpsired by my first handbag ( or at least my first handbag registered by camera). My family has always been involved with design, my grand pa had a shoe factory, my uncle is a shoe designer for Hermés in England, and my dad studied about shoes over there...so every christmas or birthday, or trip souvenir my mom and me got handbags ... and there began my obsession with accesories. The Macarena bag seen in the photo, es an homage to my family craft.
